Jose Limon
 |
|
is truthfully a remarkable person. His passion for
this art is evidenced |
by each precise motion he demonstrates, and every comment |
he expresses to us students.
|
| Sifu Jose is a martial artist who believes in respect, loyalty, |
| and foundation. He is one of the few instructors |
who teaches with your personal strengths in mind. |
|
The emphasis on "BASICS" and "NO WASTED
MOTION" |
can be found unmistakably any time you look at our
students, |
either at a regular practice or at a tournament. |
|
Sifu Jose began his Kajukenbo training in early 1975
under the |
| direction of Professor Doug Bunda. He has also
practiced many years |
| under Sifu James Ibrao for Chinese Kung Fu. |
Sifu was a very well known and an accomplished fighter |
| in the tournament sparring circuit in the 1980's. He is a
fifth generation |
| Black Belt in our Kajukenbo system, and currently holds the rank
of |
| 7 Degree Black Belt. |
| Sifu Jose has been teaching at the YWCA since 1978, and 30
students |
| have been promoted to black belts. It is Sifu's FIRM belief
that |
| respect and honor need to be EARNED, not given... |
